Based on 804 reviewsLe Lieu Unique in Cotonou is widely praised for its warm and inviting atmosphere, combining a cozy yet thoughtfully designed space with a unique roofless, dimly lit seating area. The restaurant attracts patrons looking for a relaxed evening with quality finger foods, pastries, and notably its highly regarded pizza. Customers appreciate the reasonable prices and the presence of live folk music, which enhances the overall dining experience. The friendly and attentive staff further contribute to the welcoming environment. Additionally, the inclusion of a small play corner for children makes it appealing to families. Overall, Le Lieu Unique stands out as a vibrant spot that balances great food, live entertainment, and a charming ambiance.
Superb pub for an evening drink or date. A compact, cozy space, yet creatively planned and designed. Includes a storied, roofless, dim-lit seating space, and a small play corner for kids. Serves very good finger foods, pastries, and others. Also offers great soulful live folk music every Sunday evening.

Best pizza in Cotonou ! Beautiful place :))
Love coming to my favourite cafe. Wonderfully friendly staff
One of my favorite spots in Cotonou. The food is as excellent as it is prompt and the staff is attentive and mindful. The live music never fails to impress. The atmosphere is hip and intimate.
This is a nice and really "Le Lieu Unique" place to be and eat. And with the nice upstairs area, open from three sides, it is also airy and thus nice to sit on a warmer evening. Well designed and maintained and clean. Staff is very friendly and kind. They helped me out with selecting my béninois dish (travelled quite a bit in Africa, but I learned about Benin for the first time this year). The dish was delicious: mutton in sauce arachide and fufu. But they have also a big choice of other kind of dishes: for every ones taste is something to find! They have life music in the weekend too!At the same place they have a stylish bakery (bake their own bread, pastries, Baguettes, also for the restaurant). There I took my breakfast the next morning, cool place to be. Similar concept of African contemporary style I would say. Nice pastry and bread, all displayed in an attractive way. Again nice staff, good coffee and I had a nice croissant and pain au chocolat !Certainly, in the same street there are a few other places to eat, but they tend a bit more towards bars, or are the local maquis, all good I presume. But while this place has music, you can still really relax and have a conversation: "The Unique Place" to be in this part of town!
A very serene environment, with more to relax and feel at homeThey has continental dishes and local and Nigeria dishes that makes tourist and host communities like to visit and have a taste of their varieties
